Yvonne Bostany Boehme, a lifelong member of St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, is a product of Catholic Education and feels blessed to be able to serve as teacher for one of our 4K classes, preparing them for kindergarten. Yvonne attended St. Paul's Parochial School as a child and knows the importance and necessity of incorporating faith into daily academic lessons in her classroom. She earned her degree in Childhood Development from the University of Alabama and began teaching first grade at St. Paul's School upon graduation. She then became Director at Oakmont United Methodist Church Daycare in Homewood. After serving as Director she began her own in-home daycare so she could be home to raise her own children as well. She had a license to have 6 children in her home and she created a loving, safe and comfortable environment for these families that she called her own.
After her own children were in school, Yvonne joined them at Our Lady of the Valley as the PE teacher for grades K-4. She is so excited to be back in the classroom and looking forward to a rewarding year of encouraging and instilling a sense of faith in these young minds. When she is not with her four year olds at POP, she is spending time with her 3 wonderful children, their spouses, and her 2 grandsons, Michael and Baylor.
